It looks like eight-time Olympian Usain Bolt isn't pulling a fast one on us. The runner is reaching final talks with an Australian soccer club to have a six-week trial period. While some fans of the Jamaican track star didn't believe he would actually switch sports, Bolt could be wearing a different jersey by October.

Dubbed the fastest man in the world, Bolt has apparently had a lifelong dream of playing professional soccer. Now the Central Coast Mariners, a team located near Sydney, is ready to see if Bolt's track star prowess will translate to the playing field.

Bolt retired from running last year and has toyed with the possibility of playing with a few international soccer teams, including ones in Germany and Norway.

“After 12 weeks of to-ing and fro-ing we’ve got a club, we’ve got a commercial agreement, we just need our football federation to come to the party and we’ve got a deal,” explained sports agent Tony Rallis to the New York Times.

If all goes well with the trial period, Bolt will sign with Central Coast Mariners in October.
