Well, it definitely would be a first for an Aussie reality TV star to switch over to politics. Michael Turnbull, former 'Bachelorette' contestant, has announced that he is considering running for the Senate.
Taking to Instagram to share, Turnbull wrote, "I am considering running for the senate in the federal election. Yes, that's right I firmly believe Australia's younger generation deserve to have a louder voice and play a stronger role in how our country is run. I would be dedicated to being that voice," he said.
He followed up his announcement by asking a question to his following, Turnbull said, "In your opinion what things would you want to see happen or change to benefit Australians of all ages?" While many are in utter shock that the dating show hunk would try to run in the federal election, it sounds like Turnbull may be completely serious about creating change.
All that matters is, Australia, will you accept his rose?
