The British cave diver, Vernon Unsworth, who found himself in a rivalry with Tesla CEO Elon Musk is now taking legal action against the technology giant. It began when 12 children were trapped in a Thai cave and the world was trying to figure out how to best save them—but the rescue mission turned petty.
Upon hearing the emergency situation, Musk claimed he would invent a miniature submarine that could navigate the dangerous terrain. Unsworth, who was one of the many experienced cave divers that were plotting how to handle the issue claimed Musk was doing this as “a PR stunt” and told him to “stick his submarine where it hurts,” according to a CNN interview.
Musk, unsurprisingly, did not take to Unsworth's words well and retaliated by calling him a "pedo," which is short for pedophile. Musk later deleted the tweets and apologized for his insensitivity.
However, now the fight has been reignited. Musk questioned why Unsworth hadn't sued him for his inappropriate online conduct and defamation. Unsworth's lawyer responded to this with a simple reminder for Musk to check his mail. Attached was a screenshot of an official civil complaint. Yikes.
You don’t think it’s strange he hasn’t sued me? He was offered free legal services. And you call yourself @yoda …
